Hunter Elementary Band Program
There will be an informational sign up/rental meeting on Thursday, August 21st, 2008.
During this meeting, class lists will be formed for 3rd grade Beginning Band (6th period), and 4th/5th grade Beginning Band (7th period). Advanced band parents and students need not attend this meeting.
Even if you already own an instrument, you still must attend so that we can be sure that: 1. your child is on the class list and 2. the instrument you already have is a good ‘fit’ for your child.
Date: Thursday, August 21st, 2008
Time: 3rd Grade = 10:00 a.m. 4th & 5th Grade = 10:50 a.m.
Place: Hunter Elementary Band Room (look for signs)
Summer Reading Program - Radical Reader
Radical Reader is an optional summer reading program for Hunter students.
Students participate by keeping a log of books they’ve read over the summer. In the fall, students who submit their reading logs are awarded certificates and prizes at the Radical Reader Assembly.
All students can participate in the Radical Reader program! Parents of young children can record books they’ve read with or to their child. There is no minimum book requirement to participate.
Please keep track of your progress with the Radical Reader Recording Log. You may add additional pages if necessary
Feel free to contact your local library for suggestions of appropriate books for your child’s reading level. Librarians can assist you in identifying books according to WCPS reading levels.
Thank You For Your Participation And We Look Forward To Seeing You At The Assembly in The New School Year!
