Well, we wrapped up the 2009 version of the Hunter Olympics today. The rain held off, the students and teachers were all amped up for the event, and the runners took off!!!! With rain pending, we jostled with times and even cancelling the event. However, we decided to go with it and it was worth all the hassle.
Sorry about the delay between blogs. We've been quite busy in the gym. First order of business is another changing of the guard in the gym. Mr. Robison has left us for Middle Creek HS doing NovaNet and Coaching Lacrosse. We wish him the best. Second, we have a new Coach in the gym, Coach Bailey. Coach Bailey hails from Garner and just recently graduated from Barton College in May.
Well, its been a crazy start to the school year. We obviously have a new schedule in place with our early release Wednesdays that has given us time to plan new things, but also limited us on time to host events. We are still figuring out how to put all the pieces together. I appears it will be a continuous work in progress with many trials and errors. Nevertheless, we have planned our events for the year, including modifying, changing, and adding a few. Our plan is similar to last years:
