Thank you to an outstanding PTA leadership team and the tireless and enthusiastic group of volunteers (parents, teachers and staff) who have pitched in and made this an outstanding year for our students. You are all super STARS!
PTA General Membership Meeting
Please plan to attend our final PTA meeting on Tuesday, May 4 at 9:15 am in the media center. Please note the time change.
We will celebrate our accomplishments this year, vote in new officers, finalize the 09-10 budget, and vote on the preliminary budget for next year. Join us for the celebration. We have had a great year and we need to celebrate. Remember for voting purposes, this meeting requires a quorum so we need all PTA members to attend if they are able.

READ-A-THON
SCHOOL BOARD
Along with other Wake County magnet schools, the PTA has passed this statement in support of the current school assignment policy:
Magnet families,
Tuesday, March 2 is going to be a critical day in the history of Wake County Schools and the Magnet Program.
If you have not read Saturday's News and Observer story, please find a link here:

The story describes the School Board's intentions better than I could.
Hunter Families
Given the recent resignation of Superintendent Del Burns and other pressing issues surrounding the new School Board, the Hunter PTA will no longer remain silent. Working with other Wake County schools, the Hunter PTA has passed a support statement. This measure discusses what we feel is important to our families, community and school.
HUNTER HERITAGE VOLUNTEERS STEPPED UP!
THANK YOU to those folks that stood up and volunteered for a coordinator position.
We will have Hunter Heritage on April 30. It is one of our most popular events. We can still use help. Please be a HUNTER STAR and participate by purchasing tickets, volunteering for a shift or assisting in other ways. Contact Hunter Heritage co chairs
