Hunter Elementary School April 11, 2011 Parents of Rising 6^th Graders, It is time for you and your child to complete his/her registration form and elective sheet for middle school!  Here’s what needs to be done… 

1. If you have recently had a change of address, please contact Tamela Hanks-Burton, Hunter’s data manager, to share this information with her.  Her number is: 856-3787.  Your child’s middle school placement is based on your address.  We would like to avoid any delays in middle school placement due to incorrect addresses. 

2. On the green sheet, please make corrections to your contact information.  Look over the class recommendations made by your child’s teachers and make any comments at the bottom of the page.  Be sure that both you and your child sign and date it.

3. The Middle School Program Planning Guide can only be found online this year.  This guide includes a full description of each elective offered in Wake County middle schools.  Please be aware that all middle schools DO NOT offer the same electives.  Refer to the elective sheet from your child’s middle school to see what courses are available at his/her school.  To find the planning guide, go to:

4.  Use the planning guide to help your child complete his/her elective sheet.  Be sure to follow the directions on the elective sheet and that both you and your child sign and date it.

5. Ligon hands out their elective sheet at Open House and then you turn it in directly to them.

6.     When you have completed both the green sheet and the elective sheet (and signed both), return it to the school no later than Friday, April 15th.
