The Essential Elements 2000 (plus DVD) Book 1 is taught in the Orchestra Period.Check out the following websites that coordinate with your child's book.

SmartMusic- A program that, using a computer and a microphone, will allow students to record their own playing.  SmartMusic will also assess the student's playing by highlighting in green the notes played correctly, and showing in red where notes were played incorrectly.  Students can also save audio files and email them to anyone!

Finale Notepad - Software that will allow students to input their own compositions, save, print them out, and play as sheet music!
