Specials
Theatre specials are offered to each grade level, giving every student an opportunity to enhance their confidence and creativity!  Below is a brief description of what students will encounter each year in their theatre special!
Kindergarden- Students will study characterization through creative drama and stories using the three tools of the actor: body, voice, and mind.
First Grade- Focusing on characters inspired by animals, first graders continue to develop their characterization skills through creative drama and theatre games using body, voice, and mind.
Second Grade - In second grade students continue to exercise their tools of the actor through the practice of pantomime.
Third Grade - Students in third grade are introduced to basic stage movement by studying the stage areas and engaging in fun improvisation activities.
Fourth Grade - Concepts of voice and articulation are addressed in 4th grade specials through the study and performance of poetry.
Fifth Grade - In 5th grade, students combine skills learned at the 3rd and 4th grade levels to study the dramatic process by creating original skits.
